About Me

My photo
Janet Keeler Wilcox
I’ve been involved in journalism for over 60 years. Since 2008 I've been blogging both for fun and for practical uses. I give my former journalism students a lot of credit for moving me ever upward along the computer learning curve. In 2001 I earned my Masters Degree in Educational Technology from USU. In 1985 I helped start a regional historical magazine, Blue Mountain Shadows. Our team included Bob McPherson and LaVerne Tate and I served as managing editor for 20 years, retiring in 2007. In 2016 fun turned to a more focused need, when I became involved in the grass roots effort to fight against socialism and the monumental Bears Ears land grab in San Juan County, Utah. I have compiled and written 24+ books related to family history. I love the wide scope of possibilities that digital photography and publishing offers and am so thankful to be living in this era where such opportunities fuel and help orchestrate creative ventures.
